Rubrics can be a great time saver and a fantastic way to enhance peer and formative assessment. The HEA have published several big posts championing their use such as Gareth Bramley’s (@bramleygareth) piece, “The importance of rubrics in Higher Education advances” and Catherine Hack’s (@hack_kay) paper, “Using rubrics to improve marking reliability and to clarify good practice”.
